Dylan O’Keeffe will make a return to the Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series at Sandown Raceway this weekend, reuniting with his old team, Ashley Seward Motorsport, to race the Autoglym Lynk & Co entry.
O’Keeffe, a 4-time TCR race winner, has previously driven Alfa Romeo Guilietta, Renault Megane and Peugeot 308 TCR cars, and was immediately impressed after a test day in the Lynk & Co at Winton on Monday.
“The Lynk & Co is the best of all the TCR cars I’ve raced – it’s really refined, and it’s very responsive to setup changes which will make it easy to tune over the course of the weekend at Sandown,” O’Keeffe said.
“I’m looking forward to reuniting with Ash – we achieved a lot of success together in the first year of TCR Australia in the Alfa, and we’ve always worked well together.
“TCR has been an extremely enjoyable category for me to compete in over the years. The level of competition is right up there, and the field is full of talented drivers and teams.
“That 2019 season in TCR was a lot of fun, and every time I’ve gone racing for Ash he’s delivered an exceptional car. His preparation is second to none, and there’s no doubt the Lynk & Co will be in top shape when it rolls out for the weekend.
“I’ve enjoyed a fair amount of success at Sandown in the past, so I can’t wait to get going this weekend.
Ahead of his return to Carrera Cup with the GWR Australia/RAM Motorsport squad in March, O’Keeffe said the TCR round will provide him with some valuable seat time.
“It’s a long off-season with Carrera Cup not starting until the Grand Prix in late March, so the TCR round is a good opportunity for me to get some racing under my belt before then,” O’Keeffe concluded.
This weekend’s races will all be shown live and free on 7PLUS.
