O’Keeffe Back in for TCR in Tassie

Dylan O’Keeffe has announced he will line up for another round of the 2024 Supercheap Auto TCR Australia Series, again driving the Autoglym-backed Lynk & Co for Ashley Seward Motorsport in Round 2 at Symmons Plains this weekend.

It will be O’Keeffe’s third TCR appearance at the Tasmanian venue, and interestingly the third different car he will have driven at the circuit, having made previous starts in a Renault Megane (2021) and Peugeot 308 (2022).

“It’s good to be back with Ash for another TCR round, we had a lot of fun at Sandown and came up with some consistent results, even if the pace wasn’t as strong as we would have liked,” O’Keeffe said.

“Symmons Plains is a deceptively challenging track that always produces close racing, so I’m expecting some good battles this weekend. Last time I was there, I was an innocent victim in an incident that resulted in me not finishing the weekend’s last race, so I’ll be out to make amends for that.

“Doing another TCR round will be the perfect way for me to engage race mode before my Carrera Cup season starts at the Australian Grand Prix next weekend; hopefully we can improve on our Sandown performance and be fighting for some podiums.”

The weekend’s three TCR races will all be shown live and free on 7PLUS.
