Dylan O’Keeffe has announced his Repco Supercars Championship endurance program for 2024, signing with Matt Stone Racing where he will drive alongside 2011 Bathurst 1000 winner Nick Percat.
The deal will see O’Keeffe lining up for his fifth consecutive Bathurst 1000 start, and he is delighted to be joining a team that has shown strong form so far this season, with Percat winning a race at the Australian Grand Prix and running inside the top 10 in points heading to this weekend’s betr Darwin Triple Crown.
“When the opportunity came to join the Matt Stone Racing squad for the enduros, I jumped at the chance – they’re definitely a team on the rise,” O’Keeffe said.
“They’ve won races the last couple of seasons, and Nick’s been in great form this year.”
O’Keeffe was able to sample the #10 Bendix Racing Camaro at a recent test day at Queensland Raceway, where he also worked with the MSR outfit for the first time.
“They’re a well-drilled team, very organised and methodical and it’s an enjoyable environment to be part of,” he said.
“It was my first time working with Nick, but we were already gelling really well during the test day. He’s obviously very experienced and has a great record at Bathurst – as well as his debut win in 2011, he’s finished on the podium a couple more times so I’m really looking forward to tapping into his knowledge base and learning as much as possible from him.”
The first endurance race will be the Penrite Oil Sandown 500 on 13-15 September, with the Repco Bathurst 1000 to be held on 10-13 October.
